QR Protection by Dragon Labs
Open the app and tap Start Scanning to turn on the camera, then point it at a QR code. QR Protection reads the code and, if it contains a web link, checks that link for known safety threats before asking whether you'd like to open it.
Why does the app need camera access? The camera is required to read QR codes. It stays off until you start a scan and is never used for anything else.
Does the app keep a history of what I scan? No. QR Protection does not store a log of scanned links on your device or on our servers.
Why was a link flagged as unsafe? Links are checked against VirusTotal's threat database. A warning means the link matched a known indicator of phishing, malware, or another risk, so proceed with caution.
The app isn't detecting a QR code. Make sure the code is well lit, in focus, and fully inside the camera frame, then try moving slightly closer or farther away.
